Day 1: Foundations and content production
- Understand how GenAI works
- Learn what large language models can and cannot do. Understand pattern prediction, tokens, context windows and why your expertise matters.
- Write effective prompts
- Learn the 6 elements of good prompting: instruction, context, format, style, constraints and examples. Use meta-prompting to improve your results.
- Analyse user research with GenAI
- Speed up thematic analysis and pattern recognition in qualitative data. Learn to validate findings and spot what GenAI might miss.
- Design and refine content
- Generate drafts and prototypes that meet user needs. Use iterative prompting to make document and section-level improvements.
- Apply voice, tone and style standards
- Learn techniques for getting your standards into GenAI and producing consistent content at scale.
Day 2: Responsible practice and governance
- Explore image, video and audio tools
- Understand how image generation differs from text. Learn to prompt for visuals and design more inclusive outputs.
- Check for bias and exclusion
- Identify exclusionary patterns in content. Learn to use GenAI to support your review and design content that works for all your users.
- Work responsibly with GenAI
- Protect data, verify accuracy and maintain quality. Understand broader concerns including environmental impact, trust and copyright.
- Develop guardrails and governance
- See real-world guidelines from government and large organisations. Develop your own team-level policies for responsible GenAI use.
- Understand changing user behaviour
